Our 1950's kitchen was falling apart... so we needed to decided to update.... but one thing lead to another and it turned into a complete gut rehab.
We found maple floors under 4 layers of linoleum and plywood.... we did the math and it would have been only a bit cheaper to put some nice slate tile down instead of refinshing the wood... We're very fortunate that we got a good recomendation for a floor guy that did an awsome job.

Wow! The floors look great! I'm currently also redoing my floors, but not quite to the extent that you are. I am only patching mine. But the piles of splintered wood look very, very familiar!
